Milk Thistle for cirrhosis of the liver? Very essential Q?

My big bro has Cirrhosis of the liver appreciation to alcohol and unfortunately he have no insurance so I was looking for some crude remedies for him. I read that milk thistle is great for that but got terrified of the possible side effects. What are other natural remedies/ Does milk thistle in reality help?

Answers:    Yes, Milk Thistle is virtuous for liver health.... but if he's already developed cirrhosis, it might be too unpunctually for his body to repair the damage, even beside herbal help.
In complement to Milk Thistle, he could also try Dandelion, Yellow Dock, Burdock, Black Radish, N-Acetyl Cysteine, TMG (Trimethylglycine), and/or Alpha Lipoic Acid.

You should be aware, though, that your brother has to be ready to take his condition into his own hands.... if he doesn't want the help out, he may not take it. Also, he should acquire checked out by a doctor relatively soon, even if he doesn't have insurance (many checkups would simply cost as little as $20-50 in low income clinics), simply to make sure he's thriving enough to survive short a transplant soon.... the supplements may not be enough if there's adequate damage.
Good luck to both of you!
Your bro must enjoy been drinking for at least possible 10 years to mess up a good liver. The wounded has be done and no herb or anything short of a transplant will make a difference. I hope at lowest possible he has stopped drinking for his sake.
