I just get a palatal expander and I'm talking funny, how long will it bear for me to talk customarily again?
Answers: It could be until the expander is taken out if that is the direct explanation, or until if you adjust to it...most people roughly 1-2 weeks. If the lisp is caused by nouns going through your upper front teeth, then it might not take fixed until the teeth get pulled support together. Either way, culture are pretty used to hear lisps from people contained by braces...I wouldn't worry too much in the region of it. Take care.
