I'm getting a bottom expander in nearly a 1/2 hour. I'm open-handed of afraid.. what things will transpire? Will I know how to have a chat average? Any more info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Guess I'm too deferred! You may enjoy already asked your orthodontist some question, and I am assuming you will enjoy it contained by by the time you see this message. I can speak, from personal experience, that getting one these inserted into your mouth can be discomfited. Although you may not experience too much misery right away, as your teeth grow and form to the expander, more anguish will follow. However, these procedures are for the better, and I bet after more appliances are added and taken out, those teeth will be faultlessly straight. ~Hope this helps~
