Every surgeon is different. It depends on what procedure they are doing, how long they are going to own you below anesthesia and how intensely asleep they want you. It is usually fentanyl, versed, ketamine, dextramethazone, and propofol. These are unbelievably commonly used, and across the world do not hold any adverse side effects. Fentanyl have a 50/50 opening of making your bottom itch (it's a strange side effect), but that's going on for it. I hope this help. This is from an oral surgery standpoint too, other doctors may use different things.
I have IV sedation later week to gain my wisdoms out...I have no side effects, I only just woke up groggy, but didnt achieve sick (Thank God) So it wasnt a big buy and sell!
