I've been to two dentists immediately, neither one thought I had an abscess because the xrays showed zilch, even though I was within extreme pain - but finally the gum swelled up huge subsequent to the tooth, and my ear is killing me, and in a minute my tonsil / eustachian tube entrance is inflamed.... I'm taking 500 mg of Pennicilin, but it seems to be worse. Knowing you can't diagnose me, what are some possible treatment option that I can discuss with the quack I turn to see?
Answers: I don't understand why you haven't have treatment to alleviate the abscess?! Antibiotics alone are not reliable as you are finding out. It would seem that your teeth are intact because neither dentist could well find it, so assuming the tooth has presently been identified, consequently he/she should at least establish an access hole into the pulp chamber and dispense the root canals a neutral cleaning. Then your antibiotics will start to work.
Or, if you don't want an RCT, then extract urgently. Had a patient close to you today with swollen obverse and started antibiotics y'day from medico. Didn't want RCT so pulled it out. Problem solved. Why prolong the agony and the karma that the antibiotics may not work?
Why do people insist that the swelling must progress down first? Geez, if you have an infected splinter within your skin, do you take antibiotics first formerly pulling it out? The only difficulty that sometimes arises is that establishing local anaesthesia is a bit more difficult, but NOT impossible.
Finally, finding abscess on Xrays is not always reliable, and other test should also have be conducted i.e. percussion and thermal tests.
Yes because when your sleeping your not moving which process that the antibiotics are not moving throughout your body you take them contained by the day because that when your most alive
