i have my periodontal surgery a week ago and be on medication. i finished the antibiotics prescribed to me today and i am single to lug the affliction relievers as needed. i have my post op a while ago and the dentist said we will enjoy the threads removed by subsequent week.
my concern is: can i immediately travel posterior to smoking and drinking alcohol? i own a participant to walk to on sun and i know near will be lots of booze! my dentist told me not to, but i be aware of he's merely scare me. i can stop smoking for in a minute or until he say i can already. but the booze, i might not know how to stop myself from have since its a knees-up! :)

You do not involve to smoke! The dentist is not trying to panic you. He is recitation you the truth. Smoking can motive your gums to not restore to health properly and it can also effect an infection which will be drastically bumpy. As far as drinking you should be fine to do this but stay away from have a smoke until your gums are completely heal.
