Jaw alignment surgery (UK)?

I'm 18, mannish, and I hold an overbite where on earth my top teeth stick out over my bottom by over 10mm. I be given braces/retainers to 'correct' it when I be younger, in the region of 15 I regard. However I found them extremely self-conscious and couldn't wear them 24/7 and the dentist be not sympathetic and treatment be abort. This is be the second I hear going on for it.

I be told since I started the braces that it would be somewhat possible that I would necessitate surgery to correct it.

I appear to hold fall out of the system though and I've get thoroughly self conscious over this issue lately and really want it resolved.

Will it be possible to procure it done on the NHS or hold I gone it too deferred?
