Hit contained by the mouth...is it ordinary for tooth to hurt minus need special treatment?

I be attacked by a dog yesterday, who jump at my mouth and hit me directly surrounded by my front tooth (ouch!) The tooth be numb at first, but does not appear to be loose and looks clean, so I haven't contacted my dentist. It does still hurt when I touch it. Is this typical following an impact similar to this? Will it subside lacking need to see a dentist? Thanks!

Answers:
The sting is from the bruise. I would voice that it will subside surrounded by a morning or so. If it continues or get worse after that, bid and catch it x-rayed to clear sure you don't enjoy a fractured root.
I would other recommend that you see the dentist. The twinge that you touch may be from trauma to the root of your tooth and even if the strain go away it does not suggest that in attendance is not still a problem. The root could die or in attendance may be bleeding below your tissues that you can't see. If you choose to not see your dentist and the agony go away, hold an rime cube and touch it for a jiffy to your tooth, if you be aware of discomfort you know that the tooth is alive.
Give it a couple weeks, you probably traumatized the tissue (intrusion) around the tooth. It may be rather hot/cold sensitive and to chewing. It should resolve slowly if the tooth have no other problems. If it get worse or get terribly sensitive to heat I'd see a dentist. Take it assured on it.
As long as the tooth is tight, it should be OK. BUT, study for signs of infection. continuous strain, rosiness, swelling, There may be a small cut that you don't even see. If the niggle continues or other s/s crop up, phone you dentist in a jiffy. THE AREA MAY BE SENSITIVE FOR A FEW DAYS, BUT BEYOND THAT, YOU NEED TO SEE THE DENTIST.
It is commonplace for your tooth to be sore. You should see your dentist and enjoy him hold an xray of the tooth to engender sure you own not done any mischief to the root of the tooth. Sometimes when a tooth go through trauma similar to that the fortitude of the tooth will die so you would after stipulation to enjoy a root conduit done. If the affliction get worse or your tooth starts to turn grey later you know that it is time to enjoy a root conduit done. Good Luck and I hope that your tooth starts to surface better soon.
