Could this be a cavity?

There's a dark brown spot contained by the crevasse of my back tooth. It's be there for a while and when I brush it or poke at it, it doesn't hurt. It's not greatly big but I notice when I floss and brush my teeth.

I a moment ago want to know if it's something I should worry nearly...could it be a stain? I've never had a cavity previously so I'm not sure what it is.

Answers:    If it is not giving you any pain, it probably is not a cavity. Usually you will be aware of pain beside eating sugar on that tooth. I suggest you put away a piece of candy on that tooth then see if it hurts. (Seriously, I know it sounds crazy but to be exact how you know if you have a cavity, or at lowest how I always know!)
It could be a stain, but are you due for a cleaning? Good time to go produce that appointment and find out what it is!
