I started using Listerine mouthwash once or twice a day roughly 6 months ago. After a couple weeks of not using Listerine as regularly, I began using it again - once or twice each day as I had started out within August. It's been roughly a month since.
During this time I experienced the "mouth boogers" or exfoliated tissue that others have posted online more or less. As it was a regular popularity before and never hurt, I haven't thought much of it arranged just as frequently the ending month. However, two days ago the texture of my cheeks and gums changed (became somewhat rough and "dry"), and now the bottom of my mouth (under the tongue and between my teeth and lip) are red next to irritation, stinging/burning uncomfortably and small sores have started to show up, presumably from adjectives tissue being exposed to germs.
Has anyone else ever experienced this? Or have any concept how I might safely treat the problem and uplift tissue to regrow? Clearly Listerine isn't a good model...
Answers: Try a simple saltwater rinse - 1tsp salt within 1 cup warm hose down (or proportionately less if you don't want to manufacture up so much). If things don't heal up in 2 weeks check it out with your MD or Dentist.
