Answers: FYI, TARTAR,AKA, DENTAL CALCULUS, ISN'T FROM THE SALIVA BREAKING DOWN ANYTHING, BUT FROM THE MINERALS, MAINLY CALCIUM, BEING DEPOSITED IN THE PLAQUE ON THE TEETH.
ONCE IT'S FORMED SPECIAL DENTAL TOOLS ARE NEEDED TO REMOVE IT.
At home by yourself, this cannot be done..
How can I Prevent Tartar Buildup?
Proper brushing, especially with a tartar control toothpaste, and flossing are necessary to reduce plaque and tartar buildup.
Once tartar has formed, only your dentist or hygienist can remove it. The process for removing tartar is called scaling. During a scaling, the dentist or hygienist uses special instruments to remove tartar from your teeth above and below the gumline..
Tar for that question!
TARTAR is formed by the breakdown of food molecules by saliva.
Milk products and particularly powdered skim milk are among the worst things for creating tartar buildup.
Most people I have asked think that saliva is little more than waterbut it is far from that. In fact I have used saliva to perfectly clean things that Turpentine or Methylated Spirits had no effect on!
The problem with Tartar is that it is the result of a chemical reaction and further contact with saliva only causes it to harden further. It;s a bit like adding more B epoxy to A epoxy araldite!
But you can control it! But yah gotta be quick!
First thing is to brush teeth after every meal ..immediately!
At least rinse your mouth if you cant find a toothbrush in the restaurant or maccas!
Then you need to use dental floss and get deep into the gums behind every tooth. Using floss properly is an art and requires practice.
The price paid for not cleaning and flossing can be anything from bad breath and tartar gap filled teeth to it being necessary to have a dentist painfully excavate deep into the gums with a vibrating particle breaker to break up and release the hardened buildup.
Tartar is insidious and early tooth loss can be its penalty.
How do I knowI have lived this story!
Do not try copy this man's mistakes!
If you are a brave soul you can order you own tartar scraper. I wouldn't if I were you, but it can be done. Most of the ones you will find are for pets, but you can use them if you are that worried about the dentist. In no way can I endorse or condone this, but you asked so I answered. YOUR BEST BET IS SEEING A DENTIST! once the tartar is there, it's there until a dentist can use their specials tools to remove it. go to the dentist and get your teeth cleaned. floss and brush everyday to avoid tartar buildup..
Depending where it is in your mouth, i used a pair of tweezers and scraped it off, be careful not to stab yourself, and you get it from not cleanign your teeth properly omggg take a few pair of sumthing sharp and take it out lol
thats probably the funnyest question sumones ever asked
