I really obligation to lose bulk but I'm so discouraged and sick of trying. I really necessitate backing!?

I'm 14 and I weigh 165 lbs. and I'm 5' 5 1/2". I have hypothyroidism and I've been trying to lose weight on and off since probably when I was 10, with the help of my parents and a doctor. I've had my medicine adjusted regularly, so I'm getting the right dose of synthroid and I try to excercise 3-5 times a week. However, no matter how hard I try I can't lose weight. I've gotten to a point where I can't commit to any diet, I'm so depressed and discouraged. I hate my body, I hate the fact that I've failed so much when it's not my fault. I wish I was skinny, I wish I didn't have hypothyroidism. But I'm stuck with this. Right now I can't say my eating habits are at their best, but whether I eat 900 or 2000 Calories a day makes no difference with my weight. I've tried weight watchers, the thyroid diet, and other doctor approved ways for me to lose weight but nothing works. I still want to be thin and healthy, but I'm so depressed and discouraged. Please help me!

Here is what you need to do if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Lose weight) and you will have more energry.

If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads) in one and protein (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have any or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming,running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions,pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross country skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension) (YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull,leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. So your body doesnt go into starvation mode, YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF.

If you stick with this you will have a great body. also drink a least 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonalds, Wendys, etc because there is nothing good for you on the menus - even the salads are bad (bacon bits, cheese, dressing, etc)

try the zone plan... its not a diet but its a healthy way of living... honestly it works really well.. im pretty much in your same situation or at least have been and i tried everything and i do mean everything but my brother got me doing the zone and oh my goodness its the greatest thing ever i swear by it... the best part is that you actually eat and you eat a lot... im telling you its amazing its the only thing that has worked for me... you should try it out for at least a month it really works i dropped 5 pounds in 5 days with out exercise and i was eating more than usual its such a great plan i swear... and i follw it strictly m-f but starting friday night for dinner through sunday lunch i eat whatever i want i sweat by it... also if you can get away with only drinking watet ( even flavored water) you can drop so much weight...
hey. i am the same way. i wanted to lose weight badly but i didnt have the mind to do rite. but now i am very determined to lose weight! i weight the same you and im ready to lose it! anyway you shouldnt go on a diet,thats what my aunt says to me, we are both to young to be on one. all we need to do is
1. get active and have fun
2. cut your meals into a smaller portion
3. NEVER let nobody or yourself put you down and say you cant do it!

i hate exersizing but instead of being bored with it, i invite my friends to do it with me or i would hook up my tv close to my treadmill and watch my fav movie! youll notice how time flys by and you burned about 200 calories!! make sure you dont over do it, walk at a fast pace
NOBODYS PERFECT! God made us the best that we can be!! dont blame him or yourself or anybody! i used to write note to myself saying how i wish i was skinny and i hate myself. i used to hide in the closet and cry for an hour or two. i would also cut my arm and write notes all over the wall saying "your ugly" "your stupid and fat" "nobody cares about you" and so on. please dont be like this! dont ever let NOBODY stand in your way of your dreams! i would always get sick to my stomach and throw up many times, not on purpose, almost ran way, and almost killed myself. you have a good life and it dont matter what sickness you have, it cant bring you down.

hey liz well first of all your never alone in your situations there are always someone with the same problem you suffer from and i totaly understand what your talking about i am 21 and weigh 279 i have been batteling with my weight since the age of 12 i have tried doctors strick diets and nothing i'd only lose 2 pounds of weeks of hard work i would always end up discouraged and be back to depression its hard i know going into your highschool years as a diffrent person well as someone you dont want to be right now i have a diet and i have lost 14 pounds in half a month you eat fruits just fruit and when u get that earge to eat drink a glass of water excersice 30 min everyday running will be just fine i hope this helps you your not alone just keep ur faith and encourage yourself good thing you have ur parents who support you that helps alot good luck tgc bea

The way not to do it is starve yourself, to start with. Just exercise and eat right. I did.lost 90 LBS because of it. Starving yourself won't help at all. Drink more water, eat less before bed, and don't eat for stress are the 3 things I follow and i'm going pretty well if i don't say myself. 90 LBS isn't anything like 5-10lbs so take my advice.
