Vegemite? OK I be lately kid. It sounds horrid! How almost soy products? Do they contain gluten? I am not a lacto-vegetarian, but I close to soy cheese plentifully!
Protein is efficiently sourced contained by beans, nuts, seed, unbroken grain (in your skin non-gluten ones similar to buckwheat and spelt), brown rice, tofu and other soy products, and within vegetables.

It's a great website beside a ton of gluten free (and lots of dairy free) recipe. I reason that in attendance is also a box for vegetarian.
I agree, beans are an excellent source of protein. Try hummus (made of chickpeas) and GF crackers. Being lacto-vegetarian rules out meat recommendation, but I hear tofu is a apt source, but Im not sure.
GOod luck.
