I'm using a recumbant bicycle at my desk at work on the lowest setting, almost effortless. I am on it 6-7 hours per morning, almost continuously, and I burn calories at the low rate of 300 or so per hour. At the end of the morning, the little monitor says I've burned 1500-2000 calories. With no affliction, and no sweat, and a little bit of muscle toning but not much... I've read that smaller quantity intense the workout, the greater the percentage of calories burned from fat stores ... so, since I am below the curvy burning zone, I think 85% of these calories are from flabby? Which means I am burning going on for 1275-1700 FAT calories per day, which is a helluva lot more than I could acquire from a 1 hour "aerobic" workout (if I could even last an hour). Thoughts anyone?
