Are at hand long possession consequences to a Shigella infection?

Persons beside diarrhea usually rest completely, although it may be several months previously their bowel conduct are entirely middle-of-the-road. About 3% of those who are infected near one type of Shigella, Shigella flexneri, will following develop pains in their joint, irritation of the eyes, and sensitive urination. This is call Reiter's syndrome. It can ending for months or years, and can organize to chronic arthritis which is difficult to treat. Reiter's syndrome is cause by a sensitivity to Shigella infection that happen with the sole purpose surrounded by inhabitants who are genetically predisposed to it.

Once someone have have shigellosis, they are not promising to bring infected near that specific type again for at lowest possible several years. However, they can still return with infected next to other types of Shigella.
they could be immune to it.
It is possible that the 1yo get it by drinking contaminated river or intake contaminated food. I assume that the 15yo change his diapers. Since it passed from one to the other through the stools, i.e. probably how she get it. Make sure she know to wipe up her hand thoroughly (30 second of rubbing the soap into the hands) both after shifting the tot and after she go to the bathroom, even after they are both all right. This paw wash technique should be used by everyone, other.

Shigella infection is usually treated near antibiotics. It could be as long as 3 months earlier their bowel movements are wager on to majority.

Good luck,
