Anyone who have have a colonoscopy, please assist!~?

I am scheduled to enjoy a colonoscopy Wednesday and I am terrified. I am not up to date with this, go on google and researched some. I want to know if this procedure is painful after it's over (their gonna knock me out), how nippy do you recover, what to expect, etc?

Answers:    I have one done w/o sedation in December. It wasn't stinging at all, and I watch the entire thing on the monitor, including the removal of a polyp. Your colon have no nerve ending so it's virtually impossible to feel any misery. For the prep I took cherry flavored Magnesium Citrate that I refridgeraged. It didn't taste fruitless at all, and verbs you out very ably. Just make sure you stay close to a rest room, and hold on to wet wipe because you'll need them.
Don't consent to anyone scare you, this is zilch to be afraid of, and I'm glad I went because I have been bleeding for a few weeks, and a pre-cancerous 5mm polyp be found. Now I'm considered to be a "high risk" and stipulation to go more frequently than the average character....but at least I found the problem, and I don't enjoy cancer or worse.
Best of luck to you, I'll keep you contained by my prayers.
(Feel free to email me if you have any question and to tell me how things go.)\
PS make sure you catch a GOOD doctor that has lots of experience and that you have a feeling comforable with. And beneath NO cicumstances let them use the drug Versed on you for this procedure!!
They will dull you. When it's done, you will be in the retrieval room for about an hour and afterwards you should be able to jump home -- you won't be able to drive yourself home so someone should walk with you. No after twinge at all.
