What does it mean when a child doesn't lose his fleece? Is it because the chemotherapy is not working properly on him? Or is it because it is low dose?
Answers: When my daughter started chemotherapy at age 8, I be told she would lose her hair right around hours of daylight 14 of chemo. Well, it get very, vastly thin, but it didn't completely topple out. I worried about equal thing- maybe the chemo wasn't strong plenty.
Without giving details to needlessly scare you, we found out through some chiefly bad reaction as well as 98 days of profound neutropenia (she broke a dictation on that one...) that the chemo was, surrounded by fact, comparatively strong enough, in attendance is just a vacillation of chemotherapy related hair loss. Some citizens never lost it all. For my daughter, in the region of three months into it (around her fifth course of chemo) she lost it ALL- lashes, brows, everything.. yet that wasn't the 'strongest' round of chemo (although she be on very aggressive treatment, some of them unmarked and nearly untried, because the particular leukemia she have 'doesn't happen' in children).
Try not to tolerate the hair loss (or dearth of it) worry you- to be exact no reflection of the chemotherapy's value.
Take care of yourself as ably; it's quite a nightmare to find yourself contained by as a parent. Best wishes to your son.
Some chemo drugs do not cause hackle loss. Also not all patients lose their quill. I was on a drug that be suppose to cause 100% fuzz loss. I only lost roughly 75% of my hair.
