Strawberry tongue?

if a child has a "strawberry tongue", it is usually indicative of scarlet disorientation. The tongue will look very red and swollen and the weakness buds will be raised. I am wondering if anyone have ever experienced this also with strep throat within a child? My son had the strawberry tongue but no symptoms of scarlet disorientation...unless they are going to develop within the subsequent few days. I have not done a strep assessment yet, due to the certainty I just notice the tongue today. I'm a pediatric nurse practitioner, so I can just do the examination at the office. But I am wondering if anyone have ever noticed this contained by their own kids.

Answers:    i don't have any kids, but i'm fourteen and i've notice it in myself.
i've in recent times had a unbelievably red tounge with raise taste buds most of my enthusiasm, and it doesn't bother me, but it doesn't go away any.
anyways, i am very sick, but the doctors own no idea whats wrong next to me. but no one have said it's related to my tounge. it's hardly noticable.
my mom is a nurse too. she really doesn't seem to be to think it's a problem. i in recent times recomend giving your son a strep test, and if it's unenthusiastic and the symptoms increase take him to a mouth and throat doctor.
i'm sure you'll be abl to use your valuble adjectives sense as a nurse to help your son.
apposite luck (:
