I'm 36, and had asthma as a child as capably (when I was 1, "get over" the asthma when I hit 2).
Answers: There is no cure for asthma. Asthma is a genetic or phsyologic predisposition for a specific set of reactions that run place in the lungs and although some family do regress and seem to 'cure' themselves as they grow up. They never truly out grow the DNA coding. You see as you age you body stretchs and rearanges itself, hormones also come into play. Once everything is settled down and you hit the big "4" "0" your body will start to reawaken the dormant genes that react to things like pollen and ragweed, etc. The pious news is that asthma is one of the most treatable diseases on the planet and that we are developing untried drugs all the time. The elderly drugs that are good for mild to moderate asthmatics are becoming cheaper and much easier to deliver such as mobile powered nebulizers. so while we don't out grow the disease. We can out grow the control it had on us and very soon we can control it.
I wish.
