A young masculine was shot surrounded by the left chest, near the bullet damaging the right atrium and ventricle, and the aorta. I don't know the extent of injure. He was taken to the ER within perhaps 4 minutes, at which time he be unresponsive and without a pulse. The ER after wasted 4 minutes past starting treatment. They then tried some things (e.g. heart massage), but the boy died, and he be never responsive and did not regain a pulse. My question is whether the 4 minutes lost at the ER would predictable have made a difference; whether they plausible could have save his life if they started treatment sooner. I don't entail generic info about the stress of quick tx, but to some extent some very specific guidance roughly speaking whether in your experience or surrounded by any literature there is any indication that losing this time (roughly minutes 5-8 following wound) predictable made a difference. A secondary sound out is whether he would likley have have brain damage if he have survived. I don't have tons more details yet.
