'm a 23 year old womanly who exercises everyday and generally eat right. I'm not overweight.t. I went to the Dr. today for a blood pressure checkup (I've have high blood pressure since I have my son a year ago). I've been have slight on and off chest affliction (mainly when I cough or sneeze or an tense). I mentioned to the my Dr. and she seemed a touch concerned so she ordered an EKG. THe nurse did it and about 5 minutes subsequent the Dr. came rear in and be concerned b/c it was atypical. She was arranged to send me to a cardiologist and everything. I be FREAKING out! Then she looked my EKG results from a year ago and compared them and then she said "oh hang about, it's the same results as final year so no worries." I was still flipping out and she told me since in attendance was no conveyance there is no inevitability to worry. I have an EKG and an ultrasound on my heart at the beginning of end year b/c I had a hurried pulse rate when I was preg. and the cardiologist told me adjectives was middle-of-the-road. Should I be worried or trust her
Answers: Always get a second view. I would insist on a referral to a cardiologist. Did you suffer from preeclampsia during your pregnancy? High BP can definitely take it toll on the heart. All may be OK but you've got to enjoy a specialist look at you.
Your son really , really wants you around for a terrifically long time.
Take are and GET that second opinion.
