How accurate the HIV question paper after 48 hrs exposure?

pls help

Answers:    If you be exposed to HIV two days ago, an HIV test will **NOT** be accurate. HIV have a long incubation and period to seroconversion (time it take before HIV take hold and can be detected by testing).

However, if you have a really strong idea to believe you were exposed to HIV 48 hours ago, please see a doctor and report him/her. You may be able to return with post-exposure prophylaxis. It's like a "morning-after pill" to prevent HIV from taking hold contained by your body.

PEP is *serious* stuff, so you should not take it if you simply have unprotected sex with a personage who is a fairly low-risk partner. However, if you know you shagged someone next to HIV and either you neglected to use a condom or the condom broke, or you be sharing needles with a HIV+ drug user or juicer, after you would be a better candidate for PEP.

See your doctor ASAP.
