My father (77) begin have mental confusion. A CT brain scan found no stroke, but 'cracked chalice'; any give support to?

He be hospitalized for an acute infection and have respiratory arrest while surrounded by the hospital. The CT scan be done to rule out stroke. We'd similar to to know what the 'cracked chalice' effect within the scan results might indicate. Before this he be pretty sharp mentally. Now his mind wander and he have delusion. Thanks for any backing.

The cracked chalice effect is how the brain, or some division of it, appeared surrounded by the CT films. It's not a flawless sign and I suggest you speak to his physician. I own be a registered CT technologist for over 15 years, and I enjoy never hear of that possession (cracked glass). I go to college and trained and still work in California. Maybe it could be a regional residence that we don't use here?
