Answers: I've been told 72 hours
Ahem firstly you dont clutch antibiotics for the flu! But i know what you mean. Generally, respectively infection has a different time time when it is most easily transmitted which is why you've hear so many different things.
As a plain rule, you can pass it on sometimes past you have symptoms via kissing/intimacy etc. Then when you enjoy symptoms you can pass it on via coughing, sneezing, skin contact if you dont swab hands etc.
Antibiotics will put together the illness clear up quicker but wont stop it anyone infectious before it go away. So with an malady you might be infectious for a week. With antibiotics however you will be infectious for 3 days since it has removed the syndrome from the body.
Hope this helps
24 hours is the correct time frame
