My Dr. ordered a CAT scan. while another dr ordered a MRI for indistinguishable item.?

WHat is the difference? what will a cat scan show that an mri wont, I be shopping and a couple of full boxes fell on my lead, enjoy have headache for a couple days presently.

Answers:
An MRI will produce metaphors within any plane of the body, it is above all adjectives for examining the important hesitant system and enable the noninvasive diagnosis and treatment planning of a general capacity of diseases.

A cat scan shows soft tissue. In the skull it can show pathalogical conditions such as tumours, abscess and haematomas.

I reckon the doctors are covering adjectives basis so as not to miss anything. I reflect on this is prudent.
The entity is this: if in that is any bleeding in the brain, the MRI will show it. A CT scan will show it lone if it is significant satisfactory, still involved, or old-fashioned. Newer injury to the brain is better on MRI. MRI is deeply more expensive - and I hold hear that MRIs are other refuse by insurance companies until you complain to them. If you're interested in the region of a possible skull fracture, freshly opt for the CT. It's cheaper and a LOT faster.
