Diagnosis? Calling all Doctors!?

I'd convenience anyone's counsel here. I'll try to hold on to it brief. Basically my BIL is surrounded by hospital and they're struggling to find out what is wrong.

Symptoms: Severe sickness and vomiting near severe abdominal strain (was afterwards admit to hospital), cholesterol found to be 33mmol/L. No urine output, even next to catheterisation, simply a small amount of particularly shady fluid. X-ray typical. CT scan common. Has gain 2 stone contained by bulk surrounded by 2 days due to IV fluids and no urine output.

He's not overweight (maybe 1 stone), doesn't smoke, but be a lashing binge drinker. Now drinks wine every time but no binge drinking. The cholesterol is amazingly large, although it have very soon dropped to 22mmol/L.

I can't abet thinking (after research) that possibly cirrhosis is the answer - but surely a hospital would hold picked that up next to LFT's? Anyone??! Thanks.
