if you are a virologist, how will you combat a specific viral strain aside from vaccine, when the virus attacking cyto-toxic-Tcells?

Answers:
Antiviral medication.
Quarantine?
I assume you are discussion just about combatting a viral strain that have infected a human. The one and only entity that I can chew over of is antivirals against the specific strain, if available.
remove the cyto-toxic-Tcell. is that possible?
OMG
AIDS
1) nuclease rreverse transcriptase inhibitor
2) protease inhibitor (prevent formation of capside, in other words, the house of the virus)
3)non-nuclease reverse transcriptase inhibitor (prevent formation of more reverse transcriptase, the responsible of the incorporation of the viral DNA into the host DNA, thats how AIDS work.
Occasionally one can interfere near transcription but this merely works for a few virus types. Antiiditopes or antibody (MAb) are technically vaccines so they could be applied possibly. One could nick gamma globulin from a convalescing merciful but is risky. Perhaps a few others if I in actuality applied myself.
