My mom has RHD(Rheumatic Heart Diease) and call for to have her aortic and mitral valve replaced. Surgeons' opinions ebb and flow on the material of valve. Some recommended biochemical valves, some recommended power-driven ones. We are now at loss. Before surgery we'd love to team up a professional RHD forum and listen to other patients' opinions.
Also, I wonder why don't they clone valve from patient's own tissues and use them in surgeries? that must be even better than biochemial valve. Why not?

Answers: I am 36 and have a MVR 2 years ago. I chose the mechanical spout, due to my age. With a pig valve, it requirements to be replaced every 10 years. Yes, its a very extensive surgery, however, doctors are greatly well erudite on these. Good luck and god bless.
It is the most severe form of heart surgery because the surgeons will actually be working INSIDE the heart.... The likelihood for recovery are better in a minute than they used to be... but you need to bargain to her surgeon if you want to know what her chances are because this is crust specific
