I totally suspect it's chronic bronchitis.
How close are asthma and chronic bronchitis?
Answers: bronchitis is a chest cold. asthmatics commonly get them when they carry sick. i have one in a minute and i'm not moving around so great.
the bronchitis will cause the asthma to flare up. cause wheezing and shortness of breath worse than a normal chest cold.
when you enjoy an asthma attack it constricts the airways and causes mucus. the smaller number mucus the better :)
coughing will also cause a flare up of asthma. you perceive better because you're not coughing which isn't causing a cuff reaction of fruitless symptoms.

Was your doctor a short time ago looking for something to diagnosis you with? Did you budge to him/her with the symptom of shortness of breath or have trouble catching your breathe?
I only ask because a few years ago I be have greatly of stress in my vivacity and my doc diagnosed me with asthma and give me an inhaler that never helped. Once I widely read to relax, all my sypmtoms go away.
Whats wrong beside me?
