Why the swollen foot and ankles?

I am 36 weeks pregnant and hold notice like mad of swelling in my foot and my ankles. This is my 5th child; however I hold never experienced this up to that time. Should I be concerned? (I know you may be wanting to communicate me...ask your dr.), but I've call the on-call dr. and he's not returning my phone call and I don't want to enjoy to whip the trip to the hospital for a non-stress exam and for them to explain to me to receive plenty of rest and drink lots of fluid.

The solely time you should be concerned is if, after keeping your foot properly elevated adjectives dark, you get up up and they are still really swollen. But don't hysterics...budge to your doctor and they will probably want to do a urine example to audition for protein level. It could turn out to be toxemia, or it could merely be the pregnancy :) Try to sleep on your disappeared side and keep hold of your foot elevated, if it doesn't subside...communicate your doctor :)
It is adjectives and can in recent times be you stood up to much today and enjoy wet retention. Just try to sit for a while next to your foot propped.
Well I'm a nurse and it's not exceptional for a women this close to your due date to enjoy swollen foot and ankles during pregnancy. I ruminate that you should relax, put your foot up, and bring it glib. The more you stand on your foot the greater the swelling can be. But follow up next to you regular doctor as soon as they are available. And if it starts to bother you more consequently step to the ER.
