They are only almost 3 or 4 mm in diameter and appear to be lower than the skin. They are spread out and occur on the orb and heel of only my gone foot. The bumps are harder than the surrounding skin and mildly painful when pressure is applied. Any theory what this might be? Thanks.

Are you on your foot alot? If so it might be warts and they definatly take painful sometimes. You could shift see a doctor and if they are warts afterwards they can just burn them past its sell-by date.
