Why did I suddenly develop a food allergy?

I'm 23 and I almost died of anaphylactic shock. After 3 days in the hospital I discovered I'm suddenly allergic to shrimp and all shellfish. Why all of the sudden? I wouldn't read aloud I've eat an extraordinary amount of seafood surrounded by my enthusiasm but I never have a repercussion back. Why did I suddenly develop this allergy immediately even though in that is no relations history? I hold no other allergies and on the other hand this so severe. Why?!
