the baby have a cold? My one-year old's Hep-A,Influenza and Chickenpox vaccines are due this week.But,she has get a slight cold.Should I go ahead beside the vaccination or loaf till she gets better? Will the cold hav any adverse effect on the vaccine contained by her body? Pls advise.Thnx..
Answers: The practice vary from center to center. Where I work, colds (with clear nasal discharge) itself is not a contraindication, but fever and coloured nasal discharge are treated first. Idea is that if the child is already febrile and vaccine give mild illness within the form of fever, heat may shoot high.
