I believe it is call "Crohn" disease. It affects your stomach. You can research it on the net. A friend of mine have it. He underwent an operation where on earth they cut a portion of his stomach but he recovered very okay. He is now competing within marathon running and cycling.
The treatment depends on the severity of the problem but, if treated contained by time, it is not life threatening.
