Sure, they are not god, they are merely as suseptible to disease as the rest of us.
But obviously! Being a doctor doesn't erase the reality that a he/she is still a human anyone, susceptible to any diseases simply similar to the rest of us. They cure folks yes, that's what they do for a living, but they too can feel pain.
Can a dentist receive a toothache? Can a biologist be devoured by lions? Can a chemist die contained by a chemical explosion?
