hello. i am feeling heartburn near other associated stomach problems. i also feel aching in chest and contained by shoulder as well, i also consistency rapid heart rate . is it due to reflux (gerd) or within is any other problem , my cardiologist told me to not to worry . he told that i m suffering from gerd not near heart problem.... but i m very hopeless.... any help please?
Answers: Unluckily they r same...amazingly same, and in some valise gerd even cause breathing troubles which make the whole situation more worse. Apart from gerd these symptoms r also produced by anxiet/stress. I can understand ur state of mind bcoz i am going through one and the same problem, i am experiencing exact same symptoms, my cardiologist did some tests close to ekg/echo...all of them turned out to be mundane but it's still hard for me to believe that it's my stomach and not my heart.
the symptoms can be amazingly similar....only a workup by a cardiologist first can determine that the heartburn, cramp, etc is not heart related...have you have ECG and blood work done and evaluated by your cardiologist? if you trust that he has ruled out your heart as the effect, then I would want the advice of a gastroentrologist for your GERD
