Hi,
I just be told i've got tonsillitis and so own been prescribed some penicillin to purloin for a couple of weeks. The Dr said the penicillin may take a few days to see in but my mouth is clearly sore and my glands are really swollen. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what i could use as a acting relief so i can drink fluids and guzzle soft foods. At the moment i can't even swallow my own saliva without screaching surrounded by agony
Cheers
Answers: To help beside the infection itself (in addition to the penicillin!), gargle next to warm, aromatic water. Tastes vile, but it help. You may also want to get something next to benzocaine in it that you can spray on your throat and mouth to serve with the strain, such as Chloraseptic. If you are able to obtain something containing codeine (such as Tylenol 3) and are not allergic to it, that may help as very well; if you have to hold a prescription, most doctors are quite likely to prescribe a couple of days' worth to help you through the worst of the cramp. Other than that, drink LOTS of liquid; since you hold been diagnosed beside a bacterial infection, you should be ok to take aspirin or ibuprofen for the swelling.
You can garggle next to warm water+ brackish. It really helps soothe the niggle.
i've heard from a friend that since its already sore sometimes it help to have a cup of cold water.
Non-Diabetic?
A teen developing mild allergies?
HELP, I'm craving chocolate?
