I'm not sure. I do know that benzoyl peroxide is used in some acne treatments. It dries out acne.

I will put hydrogen peroxide over a pimple that I enjoy over-picked, to serve dry it out. But, hydrogen peroxide won't do anything for a pimple unless it is infected from mortal picked at.
