Ok respiratory therapist back a newbie out. I hold to do a research daily on a disease related to the respiratory system. Of course adjectives the biggies are taken. Any suggestions?

I'm not a respiratory consultant but to some extent a professional lenient...LOL If you want to do a worthy reasearch composition on a disease relating to the respiratory system, I'd similar to to suggest primary ciliary dyskinesia. It's a recessive genetic disorder. You may also enjoy hear of it referred to as Kartageners syndrome or immotile cilia syndrome. Most of us tested for CF first because the symptoms are similiar.
People near PCD do not own functioning cilia. Their cilia may be completely paralyzed (immotile cilia), defeat not sufficiently or surrounded by an ineffective whim (dyskinetic cilia), or may not hold developed at adjectives (ciliary aplasia). Without functioning cilia, nation near PCD are powerless to protect their respiratory system. Frequent infections of the lungs, ears, throat, and sinuses are adjectives.
As a result of PCD, I have a lung collapse at age 9, subsequent removal and currently hold mild bronchiestasis within both lungs. I enjoy a few friends nominated for double lung transplant. I use the vest each day. Airway clearance is VERY critical for PCD'ers
Interesting side note-
Roughly partially of adjectives PCD'ers (including myself) own reversed organs( situs inversus)

I'm not an RT any, but I do hold lung disease. There is greatly of trial info out in attendance. so several breathing problems to choose from.
Might I suggest COPD? It stands for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, an umbrella possession for emphysema and chronic bronchitis. There are other diseases underneath the umbrella, but those are the 2 primary ones. They are both primarily cause by smoking.
You might find it interesting that more & more younger citizens are human being diagnosed near COPD. For instance, I be one and only 33 when I be diagnosed, which is really infantile. THere is a inherent form of the disease too.
Check it out. I devise you will find TONS of info on the network.

Try pulmonary edema. There's a woman at the hospital where on earth I work that's be here for going on 4 YEARS!! That be her admit diagnosis. Try it.

I do significantly recommend cystic fibrosis. It's a disease process that society don't really suggest or associate beside respiratory but it is. Nobody else will probably do this one. Lots of information out here on it.

Interstitial lung disease includes a total bunch of different diseases. One is pulmonary fibrosis. So you could do your serious newspaper on ILD or PF. Depends how long it have to be! Good luck! I hope this help. :)
If you're looking for broad subjects, you would select cstic fibrosis, pulmonary sarcoidosis, silicosis, tuberculosis, pneumonia, Respiratory dud, carbon dioxide narcosis, COPD, Lung CA, etc.
For simple ones, try SIDS, asthma, bronchitis, bronchiolitis, SARS, croup, pulmonary embolism, epiglotitis, URI, etc.
