Temporal arteritis, also call giant cell arteritis (GCA) is an inflammatory disease of blood vessel (most commonly immense and environment arteries of the head). The disorder may coexist (in one quarter of cases) next to polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR), which is characterized by sudden birth of anguish and stiffness surrounded by muscles (pelvis, shoulder) of the body and see within the elderly. Other diseases related near temporal arteritis are systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis and severe infections.
