My puppy is 5 mo. he cant go to training because he cant find his shots up to date because of the Kennel Cough.Can I still have him vaccinate or do I have to skulk? I want him in obidenace class NOW! He's not getting any younger...
Answers: AFAIK near is no real treatment, inoculation to prevent it is the best approach. Ask your vet how long you will have to hang around for the other vaccinations.
Explain the problem to the class instructor and ask him to suggest a correct book or tapes and start training him yourself. It's not that difficult, a short time ago easier with an experienced soul helping you in personality. You will have to work next to him at home a couple of times a day even if you progress to the classes.
You can get your dog used to self around other dogs when the bordetella is no longer an issue.
