Parents of children next to Hepatitis C, how are you doing?

Parents of children who have Hepatitis C, are your doctors unfolding you to treat? If so, what age and what options are they giving you?

Just wanting to know what doctors are wise saying about the subject...

Answers:    Hi. I've have Hep C my entire life (My mom get it from a blood transfusion in the 1960's and I get it from her when I was born). My mom took the treatment and cleared the virus 8 years ago. I enjoy been on the treatment twice presently. My first go-around was within 8th grade. The second try be when I was 19. Usually the younger you are, the smaller amount side effects you have. In 8th category I didn't have any side effects at adjectives. Just a little blush around the injection site. My last treatment be a different story. I had severe side effects. My doctors said that my side effects be so much worse this time because I was elder than before. I don't know why at hand is a difference but they said the younger you are, the better you tolerate treatment. Which is a good point because if you aren't having any side effects, you are more plausible to stay on the treatment for the entire duration. The doctors also told us that there didn't entail to be a rush to get on the treatment because Hep C can bring many years to get going to cause defacement. (My parents just established to go ahead and distribute it a try.) I have have it all my life span and still have almost no make worse or scar tissue on my liver. I don't know how dated your child is, but I can tell you that I definetely preferred the treatment surrounded by 8th grade over the one when I be 19. I was still competent to go to arts school and do everything that I would normally do. It be a lot easier than my final treatment. You could also put your child on the treatment now and if he does originate to experience side effects that he isn't able to tolerate, cart him off the treatment and try again when he is for a time older. It's other good to know how to clear the virus. Good luck hon, and I hope your decision won't be too difficult.

We own a few children in our support group near HCV. Children with HCV give the impression of being to do a little better than adults in relation to fibrosis of the liver. One of our kids is going to start treatment soon; she is just turning 18. It seem they are not really pushing treatment for young children. I'm not sure why.
Best wishes.
