Draining fluid from the ear?

my right ear was bothering me, and in a minute feels stuffy and as though marine is in it. the doctor told me that within was much fluid contained by the ear, and that i need to dance to an EMT to have it drained. she said that they put a slit contained by my ear to drain the fluid.

has anyone ever hear of this or had this procedure done? i am worried. i am going for a second opinion tomorrow.

Answers:    Yes, I worked for an ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) doctor for a while and he drained ears frequently. It is a painless procedure. First he will put some numbing drops on your eardrum. Next he will rob a very small scalpel and cut a small slit to consent to the fluid drain. Sometime he will insert a small ring into the slit to keep the hole undo and let the ear drain. There are merely temporary and usually will come out on their own. He may also put a small amount of antibiotic powder contained by your ear to prevent infection. It will give you on the spot relief and you will not even discern it. It is worth having done if you are have a lot of backache from the fluid. Hope this helps.
a second view is always perfect and its best you go see a dotor as an infection contained by the inner year can lead to complications.
in recent times go see doctor
