Is it fruitless to gain skewed amounts of sleep daytime to morning?

For instance...I usually get smaller amount sleep on weekdays and more on weekends. Example: here is the approximate sleep times I got closing week:

Monday: 5 hours
Tuesday: 9 hours
Wednesday: 6 hours
Thursday: 5 hours
Friday: 7 hours
Saturday: 8 hours
Sunday: 11 hours

These are approximate but pretty close. What do you think - is this unpromising or is it OK to make up for days I don't receive much sleep on days when I can afford to sleep in? Also, it's unbelievably hard for me to crash down asleep...I usually don't until after 2 and the length of sleep is completely dependent on when I get up up, not when I fall asleep.

Answers:    Not everyone wishes 9-10 hours of sleep per night. Quite a few general public find that 5-6 hours works better for them.

Whatever you decide to do, bodies do work better on regular hours of sleep. Also regular hours comfort with the problem of insomnia.
