I hold an awful cold but I'm also have allergies. Both are preventing me from functioning. I can't stop one problem and forget about the other but I don't know if it's not dangerous to give somebody a lift both medicine at once!

A better combination would be Claritin and sudafed, because Claritin have not as much of side effects (sleepiness) than benadyl, but it's an antihistamine. I'm pretty sensitive, but Claritin doesn't bother me. Sudafed may still brand name you sleepy. Claritin-D have a decongestant contained by it - that might work too.
Yes it is not dangerous Benadryl is a antihistamine and Sudafed is a decongestant. Unless the packages say it have both next it should be past the worst to filch them separately.
They used to be contained together in Nyquil for awhile.
