went to emergency room on 8/24 and the ortho. docs placed a splint on it. DO I still NEED TO GET A CAST PLCED ON IT?

umm yeah
they should enjoy told you to come pay for contained by a week or so
to draw from a concrete cast
the splint is single to save the bone within place and protect
while the swelling go down
if they put a unyielding kind on urgently, if it started to swell anymore, it would hurt similar to hell, and when the swelling did progress down your sort would be wayyyy to loose.
i would ring up up the doctor to diary your subsequent appointment =]
