I even overthrow appointments or drive 10 miles out of my approach so that I dont hold to cross a bridge or drive contained by the rainfall. I enjoy talk to my doctor and I don't want to pop pills to catch nouns. Any unprocessed thinking?

I hold a middling unease of driving over bridges, myself. Some things backing -- if in that's a saloon I can see going over without risk within front of me, that help like mad, so I try to time my driving to put cars close ahead of me.
Speed also help. If I'm really fearful roughly speaking one, I'll slow down (though I also catch jittery almost inhabitants getting angry aft me for my going markedly slow... so enjoy to revise!)
Familiarity also help; my hometown loves giant, decrease interchanges at most important roads. I've made myself obverse up to the ones on my regular path and drive over them --at first, sometimes due to time pressure, where on earth it would be much faster to lug the flyover than try to use access roads and I certainly HAD to be on the dot -- and am much more comfortable in a minute driving those aware flyovers.
Overall stratum of stress is also a roomy factor. A couple years ago I could hardly frontage any flyover, but I have some other issues that have me lower than tremendous stress; I've be dealing next to those and hold a better mood and lower stress within standard -- and found that flyovers/bridges bother me smaller amount than they used to!
Tell me roughly speaking it - I own unadulterated problems beside both as very well.
Its recovering as I get hold of elder but still not overkeen. The bridges is the worst for me!
Drive over long bridges during severe thunderstorms until you are no longer afraid.
I don't enjoy a cure, but I hold just now developed bridge ( and for me tunnel ) phobia tooo... ( rainfall doesn't bother me ) so I surface your paina nd will be watching for better answers than mine
See a psychiatric therapist trained in phobias. If a self-help instrument be going to do it, you'd own already gotten within.

get proffesional relief resembling some type of counseling for your phobia. you are not the individual one out nearby that have a scarce phobia. youd be surprised, some ppl are anxious of hose, money (as contained by dollar bills), touching surfaces, etc.
me, im alarmed of height and used to be afraid of speaking forward of an audience.

on the bridge...DRIVE FAST..and honk and hold down the horn if someone take surrounded by the road. if they wont move, stick ur principal out the glass and screech 'GET THE F***K OUTTA MY WAY!!"

and if ur REALLY terrified of the precipitation, look into buying a 4x4 extreme rotten road pick up
(i enjoy an F650 pick up, piece does not slip at ALL, not even contained by the worst rainfall ever..and it grips to hill resembling no other)

See a Therapist that deal near phobias. EMDR and CBT are two forms of Therapy that may assist. EMDR is eye Movement disorder reprocessing and CBT is Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
Practice crossing the bridge when the weather is clear. Then practice crossing the bridge when the road is raining. Graduate yourself to driving when drizzling and eventually raining. If you can't do that later try walking.. Do it slowly and distract yourself. Keep your mind stale of your fears and past its sell-by date your body reaction.
As you do this pay cheque attention to your within and out breaths. Count your breaths. Inhale = #1. Exhale = #2. Inhale = #3 Exhale = 4. Count to #100 and later start over again. If you do this later you can't mull over of anything else and your not watching or listen to your body responses.
