It is way forming. Very dependence forming, but I loved self on it. I took it at hours of darkness to aid me sleep. It help me grain sleepy and not race thoughts. But I did develop an issue beside my dependence and have to stop taking it.
Did your doctor afford you anything that you should be taking everyday for the anxiety? Generally you should be put on something for everyday use close to Lexapro, Prozac, Paxil, Effexxor, etc. Then sometimes docs offer a prescription of a controlled substance such as Xanax or Ativan to assist for an acute anxiety attack.
Ativan is addictive and should not be relied upon as an everyday fix.
I took it within times past. It worked for me but singular for a jiffy.It seem as if I built a tolerance to it in a flash. It is short acting...designation it doesn't work as long as the other benzodiazapenes do. All of the drugs surrounded by this class are addictive...but you may stipulation to whip it for for a moment while. What i do is...my doc. prescribes Xanax for me and I try to never hold as much as he say to. Also, I took it for anxiety. The xanax last longer for me thus I don't entail as much. Hope this help!!

I embezzle effexor for my anxiety and it help me plentifully. I also have/was taking xanax but that become an everyday piece and I built up a tolerance and a week ago my dr give me Ativan axiom that it last longer for this reason decreasing the obligation to pocket it.

I agree near some of the other answers you should be a anti-depressant as all right for anxiety unless you are have only a short occupancy upsetment. Ativan does work for anxiety and is addictive any tranquilizer is. Myself I use Wellbutrin and Xanax. Xanax also is addicting I embezzle 2 mg per time I be taking 6-7 mg per light of day in the order of 8 months ago and that get older, my Dr. help wean me down, as I hold anxiety impossible, and the dose and other medication comfort me immediately. I took Ativan a long time ago and it doesn't work as resourcefully as Xanax. But fitting luck to you
