I enjoy a friend that believes he's a mythical guise - is this some type of mental ailment?

He believes he's a legendary qualities call Metal Sonic. He's not drinking, trying not to blink, and other stuff because he requests to be approaching this traits.

He still know he's himself to some amount but he's "trying to rid himself of what he once was"?

Don't find your diagnosis from basically anyone--it's adjectives guesswork on our module because we don't hold plenty information for a full work-up or covering study. Is he a youngster who is carrying out tests the precincts of his imagination and the moderation of those around him? Has your friend exhibited any other benevolent of "weird" behavior contained by days gone by? Is it possible he's on street drugs? If you suspect he is a threat to himself or others, you should carry him to a hospital for a psych evaluation. If the qualified psychiatrists on duty in attendance find evidence he should be admit, they will do so and provide him the proper meds and psychoanalysis until he's spinal column to "normal" again.
sounds a touch approaching schizophrenia. i'd stir up him to see a dr.
yeah he is a crack go before. carry him some comfort.
Either it's a particularly complex hoax or it's an passion that have started to budge too far. Try to achieve him to hope medical relief. Good luck near this, it sounds approaching it will be tough.
The false impression to become a fictitious qualities is not a specific mental complaint. However, false impression is usually a symptom, all your own of schizophrenia. How long have this be going on, and are your friend's parents aware of this condition? If indeed he continues to abstain from food, I recommend you to want relieve for your friend, as he may starve himself. Sometimes, the desire to emulate another soul may come from a desire to escape oneself. But this transference of identity is seldom a solution, as while one can conduct yourself out another identity, one's own identity is thereby repressed, and repression of identity is injurious and unnatural.
umm depends on how dated he is if hes anywhere between 3 and 12 its inborn dont verbs something like it if hes 13 to 65 make conversation to him and try to snap him out of it or 66 and up hes probably senial or if hes special ed its okay or perchance ha is missing something in his time so try conversation to him and comfort him
Precisely he's have (multiple) identity disorder.
Get backing medically & from his relations in the past he ends up insensible.
I totally agree next to Goldie, pious counsel!!
Depends on his age. I go through a phase similiar to this a moment ago up to that time I attempted suicide the first time. For me it be an attempt to escape truth. My suggestion consult a professional. Don't verbs if your friend get foolish at you for it. Which would you a bit hold a unresponsive friend that's not batty at you or one explicitly alive and foolish at you anger can be gotten over not disappearance. Good luck.
i would send for it a run-away imagination ongoing.

abundant culture, not sufficiently expert to cope beside their low self esteem, resort to delusion. society have so oodles unrealistic dreams to live up to and if you grain that you must accomplish adjectives of these requirements, it is grossly overwhelming.
if one could regroup and manufacture their own goal and decision near simple requirements, at first, they'd own a natural place to start. and if, within adjectives, they did accomplish some nice dreams, that would be a bonus.yeah?
rob a look at the "desiderata" on the Internet. to me, this is a totally awesome group of thoughts and i perceive the want to share it beside adjectives who may find comfort within.
God bless.
i used to regard i be rambo when i be a kid...
It depends on how old-fashioned he is, and how habitually he is doing it... if it interfering in his existence and each day functioning. It could be a phase and in time will go past.
A misapprehension by itself is not a mental sickness, and if it's not cause him or the empire around him any damage, all right, it's best not to put restrictions on who he is. The not intake sounds kinda serious, though, so I'd support you to try and take him to see someone. Maybe freshly bestow to be in motion along beside him, and influence it's for your own piece of mind. You could even communicate him he can still be 'Metal Sonic' and still chomp through.

On the other foot, he's not alone. ;) Have you hear of 'soulbonds'? It's sometimes where on earth general public grain attached to a fiction personality, even to the point of believing they ARE the personality, or attached to them contained by some track. There are like mad more of them out here than you'd suppose, and most of them come across, otherwise, completely 'sane'.
