Yes. My mother be sent for one when they suspected a stroke. If reality she have a brain tummor which be inoperable, but the scan be to show the stroke they thought she have!
It depends on what quality of stroke. I've have TIA's or mini-strokes. They do not show up on CT scan or MRIs. They will run the test to determine if in attendance is blockage or fluid built up contained by the brain. They found a cyst in my brain in June which may or may not own inflict my symptoms.
If at hand be plunder it would show on a brain scan. There is defile everytime someone have a stroke even if the entity does not show any residual effects.
